Travel Guide For Life;

Travelers' Trifles or What I See From Mountain To Sea by M.A.C.

Horseback riding with a guide and horses provided by Cottonwood Cove Resort south east of Creede Colorado. Riding into the mountains south of Cottonwood Cove Resort. Cottonwood Cove Guest Ranch is on highway 149 between Creede ans South Fork Colorado. Besides horseback riding, they also offer Rio Grand rafting tours. They hava a good sized restaurant and there is free breakfasts for the guests who stay in their cabins. There is wifi on site which is provided free for guests. Cabins have porches and grills are available for grilling foods that can be bought in Creede. There is also a gift shop that sells mostly tourist souvenirs and great ice cream.Our guide for the horseback riding tour was a true wrangler named Ron and he gave everybody a lesson on how to handle the horse. He also kept eyes on everybody and helped them with advise when the horse was being less than cooperative (nothing major, just a few issues with steering the horses and keeping the horses from eating too much which can slow down the group). One must keep the horses head up high as much as possible so the horse can focus more on walking the trail. Once we arrived to a very scenic point over looking the town of Creede in the distance, Ronnie took photos of anybody that was interested in having their photos taken on the mountain with the valley in the distance. It is a great 2 hours with Ron the wrangler.
